About Me

“For me, the camera is a sketch book, an instrument of intuition and spontaneity.”
― Henri Cartier-Bresson

Benjamin Otto is a videographer/marketer based in Scottsdale, and working everywhere.

Since the day I was born, cameras have been a part of my life. From the clunky JVC VHS camcorder my dad carried around on his shoulder to document the day I was born to the point and shoot Sony Handycam I spent childhood weekends shooting superhero movies in my backyard with my friends. I love art, but could never draw or paint. I love music, but wasn’t a great guitar player. Most of all though I love a good story, and nothing captures and conveys beauty, drama, fun, excitement, and raw emotion like the power of video.

Throughout high school and college, I was always “that guy” in my friend group with the camera, constantly documenting the adventures we had, preserving them to watch, share and laugh at the next day and to stumble upon years later to recall moments—sights, sounds and memories—that could’ve been lost.

In 2019, I graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Communication, Information Science, and Electronic Society. Ever since, I’ve worked in the corporate world producing various types of videos.
